Housing Advocate
This position handles initial intake and eligibility for NAHASDA native preference Homeownership, Rental, and Weatherization programs in addition to marketing Housing Authority Enterprise units to the community. This position is highly interactive and engaged, and will be a professional liaison between the participants and the agency; must have the ability to maintain a customer based, cooperative, and communicative relationship with all applicants, tenants, coworkers, and community services entities.
Life Builders Coordinator and Teen Program Coordinator
This position is responsible for overseeing and implementing the KIHA Life Builders (LB) transitional housing program. This program is a mentoring and development program for young adults in need of basic life skills development and adult responsibilities skills development. The average participant typically enters the program at the level of an older adolescent with deficiencies in basic life skills, social engagement capacity, emotional maturity, and employment skills. Participants need a structured environment with extensive staff and community engagement that provides opportunities for daily learning.
Warehouse Assistant
Position will assist Warehouse Manager with coordinating the storage and distribution of all KIHA tools, supplies, materials, and equipment. Position will help maintain physical tool and material inventory for all projects, (including modernization, maintenance, development, and unmet need) and will properly supply materials, equipment and tools as needed for various jobs.
Housing and Tribal Operations Officer
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Authorities constituent tribes in order to address Housing and service needs of Tribal members through Authority housing operations. Incumbent will coordinate KIHA’s NAHASDA housing activities and Indian Housing Plan (IHP) programs with the Alaska Native tribes who have selected KIHA to be their Tribally Designated Housing Entity (TDHE).

Temporary Village Positions
The purpose of this job announcement is to develop a pool of qualified candidates to provide support to the Facilities Department for work in Akhiok, Larsen Bay, Old Harbor, Ouzinkie, and Port Lions.
