Kodiak Island Housing Authority (KIHA) collects non-public personal information about applicants/housing participants from the following sources:
- Information we receive from tenants on applications or other forms;
- Information about tenant transactions with us or others; and
- Information we receive from others, such as a consumer reporting agency, court records, employers.
KIHA does not disclose non-public personal information about housing participants/applicants to anyone, except as authorized by them or permitted by law. If they decide to close their account(s) or become inactive clients, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice. To maintain the security of client information, we restrict access to their personal and account information to those who need to know that information to provide applicants/housing participants with our products and/or services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard their non-public personal information. Our applicants/housing participants’ confidence in KIHA is important and we want them to know that their personal and account information is safe.
