Kodiak Island Housing Authority (KIHA) is soliciting quotes from qualified contractors to provide labor, transport, and installation services for the completion of two seasonal cabins located on Afognak Island on behalf of the Native Village of Afognak (NVA). The original cabin structures were purchased as prefabricated kits through Spenard Builders Supply. Additional material packages for insulation, sheathing, and siding are also available through Spenard; however, contractors are not required to use Spenard-supplied kits.
Contractors shall provide and install materials that are compatible with the existing structures and suitable for Alaska climate conditions.
The intent of this solicitation is to obtain written price quotations from qualified sources in accordance with Small Purchase procedures under 2 CFR 200.320.

Do we need to provide the materials for the honey bucket build in the elder’s cabin? They are no materials for this on the attached materials list from the RFQ.
No. There will be ten (10) 2x4x8’ studs to make a privacy wall and extra 3/8” for sheeting the small wall. The awarded Contractor will be responsible for any consumables for the build.
Are the KIHA supplied materials in the attached document stored in a warehouse in Kodiak or at Dig Afognak camp?
The materials will be stored indoors in a warehouse in Kodiak. Coordination of moving the materials to Dig Afognak will be the Contractor’s responsibility
If the materials are in Kodiak, do we need to coordinate delivery from Kodiak to the jobsite?

Do we have to bring construction debris/waste and food waste back to Kodiak for disposal or is there waste disposal at Dig Afognak camp?
Construction debris can be burned on site at in a designated burn pit. Household waste must be brought back to Kodiak for disposal
