The Mutual Help Program consists of homes constructed by Kodiak Island Housing Authority (KIHA) between 1978 and 2002 on Kodiak Island.
Occasionally one of these homes becomes available for a qualified Native American or to a non-native who is essential to the village. Notice of available homes will be posted at the village Tribal and City offices as well as on the KIHA News page.
This is a lease with option to purchase program. Monthly house payments are based on income, and homebuyers are responsible for all home maintenance and utilities. A $1,500 down payment is required in some locations.
